The stretch ottoman slipcover is available in a wide variety of stretch fabrics that include but are not limited to chenille, micro-fiber, weaved canvas, suede and faux suede and linen. Like their name implies, these covers simply stretch over the top and sides of the ottoman. They're either pulled down to the bottom or feature a snug fitting pull down top cover with a wrap around stretch skirt that tightly fits around the ottoman for a snug fit the whole way. They're available in sizes from small which fits 80-110 inches, medium which will fit 90-130 inches and large which is made to fit 105-140 inches.
Ottoman footstools have a long established heritage in the field of interior design, stretching back through over four hundred years of design history. Originating from Turkish familial seating, the modern ottoman became a common furniture piece from the late 17th and early 18th centuries, as it quickly became popular in Paris and London. More recently, ottoman footstools have enjoyed a resurgence in popularity when paired with contemporary modern sofas, so just how did such a traditional and basic item of furniture become so influential in the field of interior design?.
A black ottoman won't just add style and glamour to your room but it can also help with storage issues. Some models open up to reveal a handy storage unit for magazines, games or even bedding. It helps keep your front room tidy but yet things are at hand if you need them. It is definitely worth looking at this option when making your purchase.
One popular design allows the top section of the ottoman to lift up. The base or bottom section can be used for storage and it is frequently used for storing linen or towels, though you can use it for storing just about anything. Many people need a place to store extra old newspapers and magazines; an ottoman is great for that. Other parents with young children have used the space for storing toys and other items that their child plays with when they are in the living room. It is excellent for this type of storage, as it makes it very simple to pick up and put the toys away after the child is done playing.
